Minnie's Malibu Home

I have fallen in love with fashion designer Minnie Mortimer's Malibu home on Vogue.com. The colours, the clashing furniture styles, the cool mix of art - what's not to love!

Coloured Jeans

I spent the weekend running last minute errands in preparation for my trip back to Australia this week, for my wedding. Inevitably I went past a few shops and couldn't resist the temptation to pop in and see what was on offer for fall.

After having lived in my red ankle zip jeans from Zara over summer I couldn't resist getting a pair in their new fall colours. I really wanted them all, especially the green and camel, but settled for just the camel over the weekend. When I get back from my trip I am hoping that I can still get my hands on the green ones!

What colour would you have chosen?

I then made the mistake of going into Anthropologie and could not walk away from this gorgeous sweater, which has given me inspiration on one way I can wear my new pants...

Wrap It Up

Over the weekend there was no doubting the fact that summer is over and fall has begun. There is definite crispness in the air. The mornings and evenings are getting quite cool and the sunshine during the day is warming without being searing. After a really hot summer the refreshing weather change is welcome.

I am also looking forward to wearing scarves again, and have been looking through Pinterest to get inspired. Here are some of my favourite images...

Happy Friday

The finale pose for Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 Runway Collection

Fashion week has now drawn to a close in New York. Sad yes, but also exciting considering we still have London, Milan and Paris to look forward to.

We have had a really busy couple of weeks travelling and partying, and are now down to less than two weeks until we head back to Australia for our wedding. We are exhausted and plan on spending the weekend relaxing and recharging the batteries as much as possible.

Of course, we still have a little more partying to do.

Enjoy your weekends!

Vivre la Mode

It is not uncommon for me to flick through the online Lonny Magazine and fall in love with all the beautiful interiors. But there is something about Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti's office in Manhattan that I can't tear my eyes away from. One of Vogue's Ten Most Stylish Women in Fashion, and the founder of Vivre, an online fashion and luxury goods destination, Jeanbart-Lorenzotti has a daring style that I just can't help but love.

Marc by Marc Jacobs

I have always been a fan of Marc by Marc Jacobs and this Fashion Week did not disappoint. I think my favourite part of his Spring 2012 collection is the colour palette. I especially love the navy and sea green combo. I am also a fan of the looks that have head to toe colour, they make quite a bold statement without the silhouette being over complicated. And I really love the shoes, particularly the ones on the bottom right.

Fashion Week Footwear

Refinery29, one of my favorite websites, compiled a slideshow of the footwear they were stalking during the first half of New York Fashion Week. While I have to be honest and say that I didn't love them all, there certainly were several pairs that I wouldn't mind getting my hands on.

The first pair in particular have to be mine...

My Weekend

This weekend we traveled to Martha's Vineyard for a lovely wedding. It was a bit of a whirlwind trip, that saw us driving from New York on Friday afternoon and coming home on Sunday morning (five+ hour trips each way). That left us with only a few hours on Saturday to explore the Vineyard.

We had heard that the best way to explore the island is by bike but boy am I glad we had the car. The island is so much bigger than I could have imagined and we wouldn't have gotten very far in the time we had to see the sights.

Martha's Vineyard is such a great place, the water, the wildlife (we saw two deer hop over the road) and the rustic bush land. I especially loved all the shingled and weatherboard homes. There were some seriously beautiful homes on the island. Oh, and the seafood, I can't forget about the seafood!

Here are some photos from our weekend...

The harbor in Menemsha

A beach in Aquinnah

A gorgeous lighthouse

The houses and inns were some of the cutest I have seen

And so many flags, American's are so patriotic

Some wharves in Edgartown

Another lighthouse

A gorgeous hotel

Hamming it up for the photo booth!

It was a great weekend, we met some great people and enjoyed our day exploring the Vineyard. Congratulations to Megan and Alex and thanks for including us in your special day.

What did you get up to over the weekend?

Another Weekend, Another Destination

Well I have made it to Friday, just, and am quickly packing to get on the road to Martha's Vineyard. We have been lucky enough to have been invited there for a wedding on Saturday. I have been looking for an excuse to head out there and a wedding seems like the perfect one.

Again I apologize for my lack of posting, I will return to regular programming next week.

Have a great weekend!

Montana, I Love You

I had the BEST time in Montana this past weekend. What an amazing place, if you ever get the chance you really must go. I am already planning a trip back, and that says a lot for a girl that only considered a holiday when there was a beach and lounge chair involved.

We saw the most amazing array of animals and wildlife while hiking and horse-riding, we BBQ'ed, went cruising out on the lake and just had an all-around great time. The scenery speaks for itself...

A big thank you to Nicci and JD for your amazing hospitality and for the trip of a lifetime. We hope to see you again next July!
