Back in Town

Well I am back from two weeks in Australia and I am very sorry for the complete lack of posting in my absence. I went away with the best intentions of posting at least a couple of times each week, but alas, I had too much fun catching up with my friends and family so my blog was left by the wayside!

We were welcomed back into the city yesterday by the most beautiful sunny weather to help lift us out of our jet-lag fog. We had no sleep on the flight back home and I am seriously considering writing a firm letter to Qantas regarding why they think it is okay to serve the equivalent of a least 10 drinks to a woman who was clearly drunk before she even boarded the plane. Not happy.

Anyway, a lovely walk on the Highline helped to bring us back from the brink and it is great to be back in New York City. There are exciting times ahead!

I am so excited because this Thursday I am heading back to Australia for the wedding of one of my dearest friends. It will be so nice to be back home and to get to see my family and friends again. I am also very excited that the weather, even though it will be the beginning of Autumn, will be warm, pleasant and spring-like (with lots of sunshine please). Knowing that I will get to bare the legs in warmer weather has turned my attention to what I want to pack and wear for the trip. I am thinking skirts, shorts, light layers and strappy sandals. Hurry up Thursday!

In honour of Australia Day, I thought I would share some of the latest styles from one of my all-time favourite Australian fashion labels, Zimmermann. I have always love the way that they mix amazing colours and prints, which seems to be such a trend right now. I am especially loving the pink and peachy tones of their latest Autumn/Winter Collection. I want it all.
